Prof. Wei Cui's group, Department of Astronomy, Tsinghua University
Focusing on two core scientific problems, how cosmic matter is distributed on a large scale and why nearly half of the nuclear matter (non-dark matter) is still undetected, our group is developing the most advanced imaging spectrometer for the next generation of X-ray scientific satellites in China. On this basis, the research and development of superconducting transition edge detector (TES) is further promoted, and the Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor (HUBS) space project is proposed, which has been included in the space science strategic plan of "discovering the extreme universe".
